José Renkens

During her study in Nijmegen she came in touch with acrobalancing - got grabbed immediately. The playful aspects and non-competitive atmosphere made it become from hobby to passion, to profession.
Slowly but surely, she found herself more and more in performing and teaching situations. After graduating in cultural psychology in '98, she decided to take the step to become a fulltime acrobat.
Since 2001 she is working with IJs en Weder, to combine fun in difficult tricks, explore new areas (physically as well as topographically) - with fun in working with an acro-personality and a friend.
Besides IJs en Weder she still uses her psychological background in company-workshops where people reflect on their cooperating skills through acrobatic figures. She also teaches adults on a regular basis with great enthusiasm, and gives workshops to teens and kids.
